Hi, I'm Daniel.
I'm a caregiver turned handyman. I started Steady Home Works for one reason: seniors deserve someone patient fixing their homes — and their children deserve someone they can trust.
My story
I always wanted to be a doctor.
Life had a different plan — and honestly, a better one.
Growing up two doors down from my grandparents, I was the grandson who fixed things — Grandpa's porch rail, Grandma's sticking kitchen drawer. And I was the grandson who sat with them: Sunday dinners, doctor-visit drives, an arm on the stairs without being asked.
I dreamed of medical school. Instead, life led me to years as a senior caregiver — cooking, company, appointments, and quietly fixing everything their homes threw at me. Those years taught me what no trade school could: how to be patient with a proud 85-year-old who insists “I'm fine,” and how to spot the loose rug or dark hallway that could change a family forever.
I kept seeing the same heartbreak: seniors waiting months for a twenty-minute fix, daughters worrying sick from three states away, and too many stories of smooth-talking contractors overcharging confused parents. So I traded the care badge for a toolbox — same patience, new mission.
Today most of my clients are adult children who need help for their parents. My promise to every one of them is simple: I treat your mom and dad the way I treated my own grandparents — with skill, with patience, and with zero rush.
